Doxological Living (Titus 2:11-14; LD 32)

What does it mean to live the Christian life faithfully without falling into legalism or complacency? Grounded in the Heidelberg Catechism (Lord’s Day 32) and Paul’s teachings in Titus 2, the Christian walk is defined by union with Jesus Christ rather than self-earned worthiness. Believers live in the space between Christ's two "epiphanies"—His first appearance that secured our redemption, and His promised return that will bring creation to full glory.

Rather than viewing godliness as a tyrannical burden or minimizing sin through cheap grace, the Christian life is a daily expression of doxology—praise and gratitude for what Christ has already accomplished. Through the Holy Spirit and community within the church, Christians are empowered to pursue holiness, put sin to death, and live as a joyful witness to the world.
