I have been serving this congregation since August 2013.  Prior to serving the Belgrade church I served a congregation/church plant in Fresno, CA for 14 years.  I went to Dordt College for a BA in history where I sensed a call to ministry.  After surviving nearly bearable cold windy winters in Iowa (seriously…. the wind there…. burrrrrrrrr). I graduated Dordt without losing any appendages to frost bite. Then I attended and graduated Westminster Seminary in Escondido, CA in 1999.  Apparently, I missed winter, and took the call to Montana in 2013! I still enjoy studying theology and thinking about the things of the Lord in addition to my normal sermon preparation.

I have been married to my lovely wife Heidi since June 1997.  The Lord has granted us three beautiful children that we cherish.  We enjoy living in this area and serving this church making our contributions to the body of Christ as we are gifted to do so.

In my free time, I enjoy cycling.  My ideal ride is the one that brings me back the dirtiest and the Bangtails are always a rewarding ride. I cope with winter by snowshoeing and fat biking.  I love getting out to enjoy God’s creation, especially in the winter days.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to meet you face-to-face.  May the Lord’s blessing and peace be upon you.

Christ-Centered

  • Everything we do is centered on the good news of Jesus Christ. We focus on His life, death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven.

It is only in Christ that we have the power to live as living sacrifices to our God.

Rooted in Scripture

Reformed in Faith

  • We embrace the historic Reformed faith, believing that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

Through faith, believers receive all the blessings Christ has secured for them.

  • We are people from different backgrounds united by a common need for God's mercy and a shared hope in Christ.

We are families, singles, college students, and working people from across the Gallatin Valley who gather each Lord's Day to worship Christ.

We worship and fellowship to encourage one another.

Living Worship

  • Our services feature expository preaching (verse by verse), prayer, congregational singing, and a reverent joy rooted in the gospel.

We see worship as the means God uses to reset our priorities to see His glory. We are refreshed to live out His gospel as we face a new week.

  • We believe the Bible is God's inspired and trustworthy Word, shaping our worship, beliefs, and daily lives.

It is the rule of our life, and this is why it is central in our worship.
